Palliative care and Euthanasia

We understand how difficult it is when a beloved pet faces a life limiting illness or declining quality of life . Our Mobile veterinary services brings gentle , personalized care to your home , minimizing stress for both you and your pet. Whether you are seeking comfort -focused care or preparing to say goodbye, we are here to guide you with empathy and respect.

Palliative care focuses on your pets comfort and quality of life , not on cure. It's designed for pets living with chronic or terminal illness .

Euthanasia is a gentle , medically supervised way to prevent further suffering when a pet's quality of life has declined . It allows them to pass peacefully in a familiar , loving environment - on the favourite bed , in a sunny spot, or surrounded by family.

What to expect during the visit

When we arrive, we will introduce ourselves to all the family member's and will explain the procedure ensuring everyone is comfortable .  We will complete some paperwork needed to commence the procedure and answer any questions you have related to the procedure .

Mild Sedation first - We begin with a mild sedative before any minor procedures, such as placing an intravenous catheter .This helps to relax your pet and relieve any anxiety or stress .Your pet may appear sleepy or drowsy but remains comfortable and responsive .

Full sedation before euthanasia - Once your pet is calm and comfortable, we give an additional sedative to deepen relaxation. At this stage , your pet is completely relaxed and unaware of the final injection. This ensures the euthanasia procedure is completely peaceful and pain- free.

Humane euthanasia medication - Then the humane euthanasia medication is given intravenously .

Checking for completion- After the medication has taken effect and your pet is peacefully at rest, the veterinarian gently checks your pets heartbeat and breathing to confirm the procedure is complete .This is done calmly and respectfully, allowing your pet to remain undisturbed while confirming a safe and peaceful passing.
